Music at Grace
Music is a big part of what we offer, and our music program is one of the strongest in the city. There are many ways to experience and engage with music at Grace. We offer a wonderful community for adult choristers as well as choirs for children. Tiny Guitars, a free program for children, runs throughout the school year. We also hold an Evensong service on the first Sunday of each month.
You can experience our choir at every 10:00 am Sunday Service.

Walk Together Children - Moses Hogan
Te Deum - Herbert Howells
Our adult and children's choirs are accepting new members. Rooted in a history of excellence and choral tradition, we value a community focus, friendship, inclusivity, and challenging, engaging repertoire.
Choirs for young people teach teamwork, music, friendship, and are just a lot of fun! Ours are amazing. Come hear them or join in. Private lessons, scholarships, concerts, touring, and community are just a few of the benefits of being part of our choirs for young people. Many young people use their choir involvement towards the community service hours their high schools require. Many of our choristers have been part of this community for many years – a true testament to how wonderful the choice experience is at Grace!

Director of Music - Sarah Hicks
Mezzo-soprano Sarah Hicks completed her degree in Performance Voice at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. After returning to Toronto Ms. Hicks began her career as a singer, conductor and educator. Sarah also completed her Master's in Pastoral Studies and Psychotherapy at Emmanuel College and grounds her work in music ministry at Grace Church on-the-Hill in a foundation passion for both music and pastoral care.
Sarah's love and appreciation for choral music began as a young chorister in the Toronto Children's Chorus, where she experienced firsthand the value of a foundation in choral music. Being a part of a choir community, especially in childhood and adolescence, provides choristers with a community which embodies values of mutuality, commitment and striving for artistic excellence. For Sarah, creating a community that celebrates and nurtures the uniqueness of every person and every voice is central to the artistic and spiritual process of creating choral music. Participating in music as ministry is also a way of serving others as we contribute to the liturgy and the spiritual lives of both choristers and parishioners.
