Grace Church is currently worshipping at 8 and 10 am on the Sunday mornings through Labour day, as well as Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm. The Wednesday Eucharists wil resume in September, as will the First Friday 7:30 am service, Sunday School, and a supervised Nursery.
Below is a general description of the variety of worship services offered through the year.
Each Sunday from September until the May long weekend, there are normally three services:
8:00 am:
A reflective communion service from the Book of Common Prayer (1962), beautiful and simple, with quiet fellowship for the early risers. Coffee hour is held after the service once a month on the third Sunday.
9:15 am:
A sung Eucharist using the modern language of the Book of Alternative Services. Coffee after service every week.
11:00 am:
A traditional service using the Book of Common Prayer. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month during the choir season a Matins service (Morning Prayer) is held. On the remaining Sundays, the service is Choral Eucharist. Coffee hour is held after the service every week.
Summer Sundays
From the Victoria Day weekend through Labour Day, there are two services on a Sunday:
8:00 am Book of Common Prayer Eucharist
10:00 am Sung Eucharist alternating between the Book of Common Prayer and the Book of Alternative Services, with coffee afterwards in the narthex or courtyard as weather permits.
Daily Morning Prayer
A fifteen-minute service of quiet prayer held in the Chapel at 9 am on weekday mornings for fifteen minutes.
Wednesdays:
Resuming in September, Communion service in the Chapel on Wednesday morning at 10:30 am, using the Book of Alternate Services, 1962 service (BCP).
Thursdays:
From late June through the end of July, we will embrace summer with a relaxed (20-25min) multi-generational outdoor Eucharist at 6:30 pm.
Fridays:
Resuming in September - 7 am Holy Eucharist on the first Friday of the month and all Fridays during Lent. An early morning Eucharist celebrated in the Chapel, followed by breakfast. The service on June 4 will be the last until September, since this service is not held in July or August.
