The Anglican Church of Canada confirms people of any age who have come to the stage in their life when they are ready to renew their baptismal vows and publicly commit themselves to a life of faith and service as a Christian. This renewal of vows is particularly important for people who have had their baptismal vows made on their behalf by their parents and godparents when they were an infant.

The Affirming of Baptismal Vows in Confirmation is often taken by young adults, to confirm for themselves what was done for them as a child. Each person's spiritual journey is different, however. While some may feel themselves ready at 13, for others the right time may be at 30, 50, or 80. Baptism is also a sacrament for which people may be ready at different times of their lives.

Any adolescent or young person who may be contemplating being confirmed or baptized as a Christian into the body of Christ is encouraged to speak to our Incumbent, the Rev. Canon Peter Walker, or the Rev. Mary Lewis, Associate Priest. Confirmation is schedules for this spring and the presiding bishop will be the Right Reverend Ann Tottenham.

(At left) On Sunday, November 30th, 2008, Bishop Patrick Yu confirmed those who were prepared and desired to receive this Sacrament at the 11 am service.

Each Sunday there are normally three services:

8:00 AM
A reflective communion service, beautiful and simple, with quiet fellowship for the early risers.

9:15 AM

A sung Eucharist using the modern language of the Book of Alternative Services.

11:00 AM
A traditional service using the Book of Common Prayer. Two Sundays each month there is a Matins service and on the remaining Sundays the service is a sung Eucharist.

On Vestry Sunday, and during the summer, the 9:15 and 11:00 services

are combined at 10:00.
